Gabriella Ryan

Senior Application Scientist

Gabriella Ryan is a Senior Application Scientist at Omni, where she drives the development and integration of Omni sample preparation technologies by working with industry leaders, customers and sales to create innovative assays, provide technical support, drive product development and work cross-functionally with marketing to promote our solutions. Gabriella graduated from Georgia State University where she earned a Master of Science in biological science, with a concentration in medical science. She joined Omni as a laboratory intern, at the tail end of her bachelor’s degree and continued to work and develop a passion for the Omni portfolio ever since.

Outside of Omni, Gabriella enjoys spending time with loved ones and traveling. She also thoroughly enjoys cooking and baking. Some of her favorite dishes and desserts to make are chicken parmigiana, adobo chicken burrito bowls (with all the fixings) and almond biscotti. A lesser-known fact about Gabriella is that she is a classically trained violinist with about 10 years of experience under her belt. She wishes she had more time to play the violin but uses this as an excuse to get out and see small chamber or string-quartet performances as often as possible.

Caleb Proctor

Research and Applications Laboratory Manager

I’m Caleb Proctor. I am the Research and Applications Laboratory Manager for Omni International where we specialize in sample preparation of tissues and solid matrices for many types of molecular applications.

I grew up on a cattle farm in North Alabama where I found my love for biology in hands-on applications around the farm. I have studied microbiology at Auburn University and Cellular Biology in graduate school at Georgia State University. I have utilized these skills from the universities in small, growing, and large companies to aid in the research and development process of FDA-approved medical devices for pathogen detection, application development for laboratory equipment, and translational communication between researchers and sales teams for the past decade.

I find the most joy in my career solving complex problems in and around laboratories working on the next big breakthrough or solving real-world problems. When I’m not in the lab or at work, you can find me either enjoying time with my wife and daughter, gaming, or in the woods hunting.
